Overview
Scholarship awards are a major benefit of membership in ADF.  In the past, ADF has disbursed dispatch scholarships to its members to help them reach their goals and advance into the aviation and aerospace careers they have always dreamed about.  ADF's growing scholarship program provides a wonderful way for the ADF and donors to assist deserving young people and to forge lasting relationships that can provide inspiration and support.  Thanks to all that have worked to make this important part of the ADF's continued success and to out generous sponsors.

Applicants must be a member of ADF by Sep30, 2017.

Please note that federal regulations dictate that in order to attend a program, an applicant must at least 21 years of age.  However, if the applicant is at least 21, but younger than 23, the certificate will not be issued until his or her 23rd birthday.  During that period, if the applicant successfully completes the course and requirements, a Letter of Aeronautical Competency will be issued by the FAA.

The Airline Dispatchers Federation in conjunction with Jeppesen (Denver, CO) is offering a scholarship to earn his/her Aircraft Dispatcher’s FAA 121 certificate.
The following are details of this scholarship:

1. The scholarship will cover 224 hours of instruction and training required to take the Aircraft Dispatch written test and check ride with an FAA 121 examiner for certification. Scholarship recipient will be responsible for all written and oral examination fees. 

2. The scholarship selectee will be responsible and follow all of Jeppesen rules and requirements. 


3. The scholarship will be awarded to one (1) applicant


4. The selected applicant will be responsible for the cost of FAA knowledge and practical testing, transportation to/from Jeppesen, lodging and meals during his or her training.

5. Prospective Applicants will be subject to the following eligibility requirements:

a. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
b. Applicants must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. 
c. Applicants must be able to travel to and from training, have time available to attend training and study without distraction from employer(s) for a period of 6 consecutive weeks with practical testing following the course completion date.
d. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens OR hold current authorization to live and receive education within the United States not to expire prior to December 31, 2018

6. Applicants must include the following information via email (scholarship@dispatcher.org) no later than close of business (5pm Central Time) on September 08th, 2017 to be considered for this scholarship:

a. His or her contact information, resume, phone number, and email.


b. An essay why the applicant wants to become an Aircraft Dispatcher and be selected for this scholarship opportunity.

c. Include "Jeppesen Scholarship" in the subject line of the Email

The Airline Dispatchers Federation in conjunction with Technical Aviation Services, Inc (Miami, Florida) is offering a scholarship to earn his/her Aircraft Dispatcher’s FAA 121 certificate.

The following are details of this scholarship:

1.  The scholarship will cover approximately 200 hours of instruction and training required to take the Aircraft Dispatch written test and check ride with an FAA 121 examiner for certification.

2.  The scholarship selectee will be responsible and follow all of Technical Aviation Services, Inc rules and requirements.

3.  The scholarship will be awarded to one (1) applicant

4.  The selected applicant will be responsible for the cost of FAA knowledge and practical testing, transportation to/from Technical Aviation Services, Inc, lodging and meals during his or her training

5.  Prospective Applicants will be subject to the following eligibility requirements:

a. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
b. Applicants must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
c. Applicants must be able to travel to and from training, have time available to attend training and study without distraction from employer(s) for a period of 5 consecutive weeks with practical testing following the course completion date.
d. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens OR hold current authorization to live and receive education within the United States not to expire prior to December 31, 2018

7.  The applicant will be responsible for costs incurred if remedial training is needed due to lack of study or non-compliance with policies found within Technical Aviation Services, Inc instructional handbook.

8.  The awarded applicant must schedule and complete his/her training with Technical Aviation Services, Inc prior to October 2, 2018 or scholarship will be voided.

9.  The scholarship selectee agrees to allow his/her image to be used in all promotional material for ADF & Technical Aviation Services, Inc.  

10.  There is no promise of employment
