Hello! I am Melissa Hansen and thrilled to be switching gears to the world of Dispatch. After 25+ years in management between aviation and logistics, I was recently given the opportunity to assess what my next career move would be. FAA Dispatch certification has long been a goal of mine, however, career, obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, and life always got in the way previously. This year, though, the stars have aligned and I am extremely excited to be jumping into taking this course with the Pilot Institute. Outside of professional goals, I have been with my partner, Robert, for nearly 9 years and have two amazing children, Connor 24 and Emily 23. One of our main activities is traveling as spending time making memories with my partner and kids is most important to me. I also dabble in sourdough and sometimes off-roading my Jeep. I am immensely grateful for this scholarship opportunity from ADF—life-changing!
