ADF's Dues Reverts to $30.00:
Due to ADF's Organizational Incorporation with the District of Colombia, Regular Membership dues will revert to $30.00 starting on 1/1/2011 (there will be no changes to retired and student members).

In appreciation for her presentation on NextGen to those ADF members in attendance at this years Symposium in Washington DC, Joseph Miceli presents Vicki Cox with a plaque.
ADF, President (Joe Miceli) and Executive VP (John Schwoyer) have been asked to Participate in NBAA Friends and Partners in Aviation Weather (FPAW) discussion forum. ADF will focus its discussion on the nature of AOC Flight Operations Decision Support issues and specifically how the Dispatcher utilizes the tools to manage by exceptions in weather events, especially given the impact of the “Tarmac Holding Rules”.
Highlighting decision that dispatcher makes and the tools that are available now and how NextGen advancements will aid all users today and in the future.
Joe and John will be joined by Matt Tucker of NATCA and Kevin Johnston FAA to discuss how ATC and the controls are using the technology to safely maximize the airspace reducing delays with the information provided by technology and the Dispatcher’s and AOC’s.
ADF Selected to Participate in NextGen Implementation Risk Assessment:
Victoria Cox, Senior Vice President for NextGen and Operational Planning recently asked FAA RE&D Advisory Committee (REDAC) to examine NextGen implementation risks and ADF was invited to participate in these meetings. ADF President Joe Miceli and EVP John Schwoyer will attend meetings next month at MIT Lincoln Laboratories in Washington DC. Participants from the FAA and other private sectors will also attend offering different perspectives on NextGen's implementation challenges with a focus on infrastructures and the operational capabilities that they enable. While in Washington for this years Safety Symposium, ADF was very fortunate to have Vicki Cox as "Keynote Speaker" presenting information to Aircraft Dispatchers regarding NextGen and FAA's vision for future travel within our National Airspace System improving safety, efficiency, and lowering our countries carbon footprint.

ADF Selected by RTCA Policy Board:
ADF was selected by the RTCA Policy Board to continue its work within ATMAC (Air Traffic Management Advisory Committee) for the 2010-2011 term.
Anyone holding a paper airman certificate from the FAA will have to switch to the new plastic certificate by the following dates:
For Dispatchers, Flight Engineers, and Navigators - March 31st, 2013
For Pilots and Flight Instructors - March 31st, 2010
The airmen must request a replacement, they will not automatically be sent out. If a replacement is not obtained by the date noted, the paper certificate becomes invalid.
